Pushkar ka Mela, as is commonly known, is an annual five-day camel and livestock fair held in the town of Pushkar in the state of Rajasthan, India. It is one of the world's largest camel fairs. Apart from the buying and selling of livestock, it has become an important tourist attraction. Competitions such as the "matka phod", "longest mustache", and "bridal competition" are the main draws for this fair which attracts thousands of tourists. 

We are planning a short weekend trip to capture the glory of this one of its kind event. Join us on this photo fantastic journey.

Dates: 16th Nov. - 19th Nov.

We shall depart on 16th November 2018 late evening at about 4:20 PM from DELHI by train. We will depart from Pushkar on 19th Night and arrive back in Delhi in the morning.

Pricing - Rs. 7500/- per person. 

Includes train tickets, accommodation, Photography workshop, Lenses to borrow and use, breakfast. (Lunch & Dinner is excluded).

Requirement: Age 18 years or older. It will be more enjoyable if you own a DSLR.

Pay the rest of the money latest by 16th of November when we get on the train. If you would like to travel by yourself. Then the trip will cost you Rs. 6,500/- per person.


If for some reason you have to cancel then refund will be done as follows:

a. If you cancel before 1st of November, 2018 you'll get Rs. 800 refund.

b. If you cancel after 1st of November, 2018 you'll not get any refund.


16h November

Arrive in the hotel at 11:30 PM & relax. 

17th November

Get up early and walk to the Mela ground. Mela ground (fairground) is less than 10 minutes walk. We will explore photography opportunities when the sun is low. After some time we will head back to the hotel to eat breakfast. We will have a small discussion, group photos and then start individual goal setting for the tour. During the afternoon you will be free to explore on your own or rest at the hotel. After lunch, we set our foot out again and get to the mela ground to capture horses and other animals and take pictures of performers. When it gets completely dark we will do our special photography workshop where we will explore a few special techniques. Eat dinner and call it a day.

18th November

We will get up early, get to the mela ground but this time each person will have their personal goal. After breakfast, we will have free time to explore. Then we meet for lunch and have a group photograph. Afterward, we will review images and discuss the next steps where mentors will guide you to excel at your kind of photography. We will try to help you recognize and then work on your personal style. As the evening comes we will prepare to say the heartbreaking goodbye to your newly formed buddies. But hey, c'mon nothing lasts forever. The good thing is that we have WhatsApp to stay connected. Yay!! 

19th November

Return to Delhi early morning.
